Places in Texas for the camp (cabins with air conditioning), fishing, etc.?

I am looking for a place in Texas, somewhere within 3 hours (preferably) from Austin, which is somewhat remote camps with accommodation (air conditioning a necessity in the heat of summer here). Would you like to be able going to a fishing trip, hiking, etc.

NY State Parks Camping?

I am looking for opinions on the camping areas in parks in upstate New York. We prefer more isolated, less visited camps / sites. Anyone have any information? I look forward to parks in Wester NY, Adirondacks, and Central-Leatherstocking region.

Fishermen and naturalists come from miles to go holiday in a shelter, an open site designated in the back of the lagoon or the continental camp. Canoes and boats can be rented at the boat launch site on the caretaker's residence. Taylor Pond Camp is located at the northeast corner of Taylor Pond. A control dam at the 4 mile long, 813 acre "pond". The dam, campground, and interior campsites represent the development only in the entire primitive pond. The developed 10-acre camp is surrounded by more than 8,000 Wild hectares of state forest lands. The campsite has a configuration remotely with limited basic services and facilities. Camping units ranging from small shops campaign to 30 'RVs can be accommodated. Recreational opportunities include picnicking, boating, fishing, hiking and observing nature. Loons, eagles fishers, eagles, and many other species of fauna and flora can be seen in the area. Hours: The campsite will open in mid-May and remains open until Labor Day. The registration booth is open 8-9 unless it was sent. Directions: Located in Silver Lake Road, 9 miles northwest of AUSABLE Falls on Route 9N. Amenities: 30 sites in total, 25 drive-in ", sites, and 5 of the interior (boat access only) sites, of which 3 are lean sites, and 2 which are tent sites. This is a primitive camp. There are no toilets or other amenities. There are toilets and water taps at various locations. Interior sites require a boat for access. Boating: Motor boats, rowboats and canoes allowed. Rowboat and canoe rentals available. The boat launch is located just after the gatehouse and provides the only public access to Taylor Pond. Fishing: The lake trout, brown trout, rainbow trout and Atlantic salmon. Hiking: At 12 miles snowmobile trail goes around the lake are other nearby trails Catamount Mountain, Silver Lake Mountain, and the region of high peaks. Day use of facilities: There is a small day use area. No swimming area is provided. Area Attractions: Area attractions are in the Tri-Lakes and Lake Champlain regions. Historic Interest: As of the 1974 season, Taylor pond operated as an indoor installation. Designated sites and areas of camping days are used developed. In 1981 the DEC began charging a basic rate of camping sites available for 25 cars. Five sites of access to water continues to supply anywhere internal rate until 1990, when a base rate began to be charged.
