How do I know the size of my hot water heater in my motorhome?

I need to know if it is 6 or 10 gallons. I can not look in the manual the truck owner me 4 or 5 and the manual is long gone. I tried searching on the heater for the size, but all information is ether burned from the hot metal, or lost in time. My truck is over 30 years old and the water heater needs replacing. NOTE ... scraping is not an option. It is a caravan holiday is my home.

If you're like most of them I've seen you can not measure as it is installed. would look at the model # or if not removed the unit and measure the space you have and install the 10 gallon, if space permits.
